How to Safely Use VRedux in CS2 After VAC Live Updates

After the introduction of the "VAC Live" blocking system, playing with cheats in Counter-Strike 2 has become much more dangerous. This guide will help you understand how to configure the VRedux and how to properly play in an aggressive style (semi-rage) to reduce the risk of getting banned.

However, before playing on your prime (main) account, check if you get banned on non-prime (free version of Counter-Strike). What is VAC Live and How Does It Work?

VAC Live is an anti-cheat that works not as a program (like FACEIT, EAC, BattleEye), but as a check of player actions at the server level. This system analyzes the behavior of each player in a match:

  • The system notices if you kill opponents too quickly;
  • Shots through walls (awalls) are considered especially suspicious;
  • For each suspicious action, you receive "danger points";
  • The more "danger points" accumulate from your combined actions, the higher your chance of getting banned.

What Affects the Accumulation of Points?

  • Kill speed: if you kill opponents too quickly, that is, as soon as they become visible;
  • Kills through walls: such actions are considered particularly suspicious and add more danger points than regular "quick kills".

Your task is to play aggressively, but in a way that doesn't raise too many suspicions with the system.

How to Properly Configure VRedux?

To reduce the risk of being banned, configure your cheat as follows:

  • Autowall on a separate button: enable the autowall function (shooting through walls) so that it activates only when pressing a separate key. This is called "bind settings." Try to use autowall minimally.
  • Don't use early autostop: the early function in autostop settings makes you stop very early before peeking at an opponent. It often triggers when you're still behind a wall, so the kill can be counted as an autowall, which doubly adds VAC Live points.
  • Smooth and FOV: preferably use values that differ by a few units, for example: smooth pitch 3, smooth yaw 1, any FOV. Different aiming speed values for X and Y are needed to make the aiming look more human to VAC Live.

How to Play Aggressively Without Getting Banned?

  • NEVER buy a Scout (SSG08) or AWP. These weapons have the strictest checks. Currently, we don't know how to configure the cheat to avoid bans with these weapons, as even without cheats one can get blocked just by shooting only headshots with a Scout.
  • You can play with any automatic weapons and pistols with any settings. (Recommended weapons at the moment: Desert Eagle, AK-47)

Be Careful with Shooting Through Walls!

The autowall function (shooting through walls) is the most dangerous. Each such shot greatly increases your "danger points." Use it only in extreme cases when it's absolutely necessary to eliminate an opponent.

Practice on Non-Prime Before Playing on Your Main Account!

Before playing on your main (prime) account, practice in non-prime mode (without premium status). This way you can:

  • Learn how to use the cheat correctly;
  • Understand which actions raise suspicions with the system;
  • Get used to the new style of play without risking your main account.

Risks and Consequences

Even if you follow all precautions, the risk of a ban still remains. VAC Live is constantly improving, and Counter-Strike developers from Valve are making it increasingly complex and smarter.

In the future, they may start issuing permanent bans instead of temporary blocks for using cheats, therefore:

  • Use cheats only on accounts you don't mind losing;
  • Never use cheats on your main account with valuable skins, medals, games, Steam level, etc.;
  • Remember that any game with cheats is a risk, even with the most careful settings.
